The MobieBridge
If you have MBX tokens, they are on the Stellar network. In order to take advantage of Mobie’s staking opportunity, your tokens need to be on Ethereum. Fortunately, we have recently launched our MobieSwap Token Bridge in order to make the transition as smooth as possible, and your MBX tokens can be converted to wMBX tokens safely and quickly.
You can use MobieSwap to convert from Stellar to Ethereum or Stellar to Binance Smart Chain 'BSC' and back again. The next release of the MobieSwap Token Bridge will incorporate the same "smart claim" action that is currently live with the BSC MobieSwap where you claim your tokens on the native chain side and there are no MBX fees to convert, just the native currency ( ETH ). There will also be developments on the Polygon bridge side too.
In order to use our proprietary tool for secure conversion, you need to have both a Mobie wallet and a Web 3 compatible ethereum wallet such as metamask. Then, it’s as simple as visiting our Token Bridge website, connecting your Ethereum wallet and your Mobie wallet, and following the on-screen instructions.
Important notes about the Bridge:
At launch there will be a transaction cap of 10,000,000 MBX tokens, this is to ensure we do not have any volume issues with traffic on the bridge. We anticipate this transaction cap being removed quickly. **this transaction cap has been lifted as we are now out of the launch window!
When converting your MBX to wMBX you will notice it is not a 1:1 ratio. This is because of the fee that occurs when the transaction takes place on the Ethereum network. The fee is calculated based on Ethereum gas prices (gwei) and is subject to change based on when initiated and when actioned. The price shown at the first stage of the swap is an estimate, you can confirm the fee when executing your swap.
Why Use the Bridge?
It enables frictionless trading without the need for a centralized custodian. Reduces Ethereum fees paid to move to and from an exchange to keep your tokens safe.
You can also add your own tokens to the liquidity pool on various Decentralised exchanges like UniSwap or PancakeSwap and earn a residual income from supplying it. You would need to add tokens on both sides of the liquidity pool — eg. eth/wMBX but then every time a trade occurs on the pair you get a % fee.
Pre-Staking: The offering supported wMBX, the ERC20 token. In order to participate in staking of the MobieCoin you needed to either cross the bridge with your MBX, or acquire wMBX on Uniswap.*Pre-staking is currently closed at this time.
How To Use The Bridge
Connect your Ethereum wallet
Connect your Mobie wallet
Type in the amount of MBX that you want to send across the bridge
Confirm the fees
Swap!
You will see that the screen loads again and you will be prompted to reconnect your wallets, this is correct, simply re-connect your wallets and you should see the balances populate; the timing is dependent on Ethereum network traffic.
